2012 US Women's Open , Blackwolf Run Golf - Kohler Wisconsin

We NEED YOU!!!
The 2012 U.S. Women's Open is scheduled for July 2-8.

Jill Martin and Lisa Bear are serving as Hole Captains for the EWGA Milwaukee at the 2012 US Women's Open being held at Blackwolf Run next summer.

We need to get 20 more volunteers (marshals) for our group.  Please consider helping out!!! Below is an email with information about how to register to volunteer to be a Marshal at the event if you are interested and what you get as part of your registration and payment.  Please note the registration deadline of AUGUST 31, 2011!!!

For a one-time registration fee of $150, volunteers will receive exclusive benefits including unadvertised opportunities through The American Club Resort. (We just golfed BLACKWOLF for FREE on Tuesday). Those who volunteer for the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open will also receive first access to volunteer opportunities at future championships including the 2015 PGA Championship and the 2020 Ryder Cup.

The 2012 U.S. Women’s Open Volunteer Package includes an assortment of exclusive benefits:
- One volunteer badge that allows you access to the championship all seven days
- Two official volunteer golf shirts
- One official volunteer wind jacket
- One official volunteer hat or visor
(the attire is of good quality and isn't hokey)
- Commemorative volunteer pin
- Food & beverage vouchers
- 50% off of Championship Badge
 - Complimentary parking all week
- 15 percent off all purchases made in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open Merchandise Pavilion during the week of the championship
- Exclusive unadvertised opportunities at The American Club Resort throughout 2011 and 2012 (Including some great deals for golf this coming LABOR DAY!
- Complimentary subscription to the Volunteer E-Newsletter

While there are many volunteer positions available, as Hole Captains we are looking for Marshals to add to our group.

What is a Marshal? A Marshal is inside the ropes at the event and is responsible for not only crowd control, but also helps direct players, caddies, locate golf balls, etc... and gets to interact media personnel that follow groups around the course.

What is the time committment? Each Marshal is asked to volunteer 3-4 shifts of 4 hours each over the course of the week. As a volunteer, you will receive food and beverage vouchers to use during your shift. After this commitment is complete, they are welcome to enjoy the championship at their leisure.

The event is next July, why do I need to register now? The Marshal Committee for the championship is the largest committee and therefore takes the most coordination and planning. Kohler has set the deadline to register as a Marshal at August 31st. Registration must include payment of the volunteer fee. This will ensure that uniforms can be ordered in September and that we can begin to schedule orientations and start to set up hole assignments among other things.

What happens if my plans change after I register? You will be eligible to receive a full refund up to April 1, 2012 in the event you can no longer volunteer after you have registered and paid.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa or Jill. We hope you will consider volunteering for this great event!! (Right now men out number women volunteers 2-1)
