Ashippun Lake, located in the Town of Oconomowoc in Waukesha County is a hidden treasure known for it's crystal clear waters and sandy frontage. Ashippun Lake is a deep (40 feet) 84-acres lake. Ashippun Lake is a small spring-fed natural lake having two basins and an outlet to the Ashippun River. There are no permanent inlets. A deep water wetland lies on the west end of the lake, adjacent to its outlet. The lake has clear water over a sand, gravel, and marl bottom.

Fishing on Ashippun Lake is very popular. If you toss in a line or are looking for a tip up, you'll find primarily pan fish, northern pike, and largemouth bass. Some walleye stocking was done in the 1980s.

Location/Directions:		Ashippun Lake access is located in the Town of Oconomowoc, in northwest Waukesha County. Take I-94 to C.T.H. 67 north, right on Hwy. K, left on McMahon Road, 2 miles to launch.
